i have the problem with acrylic paint that i just cant get the colors dark enough?? i mix blue, red, yellow (all primary, the red is actually magmenta) but it just looks grey or muted. adding black (oxydblack) doesnt help :,) any tips? :,,)Mar 22, 2022

Not a super expert, but try using a dark color as the base and then mixing others into it. Probably don’t start with pure black unless you want a desaturated result, but if you only have primaries you could try starting with one of them mixed with black to give you a starting dark color. I seem to recall from classes ages ago that there are a few different types of black and they react differently for color mixing, so you may need a different black.
Use as few colors as you can, the more you mix the more likely you are to get muddy colors.

•I'm not too good with acrylics :') but you can try adding dark blue or brown (depends on if it's a warm or a cool tone)
