I don't like the christmas season, I don't like how there's that idea that everyone should be happy and spend good time with family and friends, and I l've never really had any of those two things and I'm reminded of that every single year against my willNov 27, 2023

I'm sorry you feel that way about this season. I don't celebrate it at all, I'm happy that my dad neither does so no one in this house bothers about it. I was used to suffer it just like you until I started to see it as a commercial thing instead of a meaningful day (which is sadly true though), aside that since I knew how christmas was created, it has no meaning to me anymore, and stopped suffering even if people ask me what you said above

As much as I like Christmas, this is one aspect of it I have always found rather icky. Especially in my own country, Christmas is held in a very high regard. When someone says they will be alone during Christmas Eve, people panic and say «You can´t do that, you need to be with someone!!» as if that person isn´t alone every other day in the year, but then its not so important.
There are so many people out there that doesn´t celebrate the holiday, has bad memories attatched to it or cannot afford to make it as grand as wish to. And I wish those people were more talked about. Because having this giant over the top holiday shoved in your face for almost 3 month straight is certainly not helping.
