MS Paint - Armored creature from the woods

Oh boy... this piece. This particular painting was both a delight and a pain in the butt to develop, specially considering it was a mashup of techniques, styles and approaches.

And being really honest, seeing it unified as a single file of layered colors and perspectives in MS Paint is the most gratifying feeling ever..! falls down the chair

But you must be asking: who's this rabbit-woman-creature in an armored dress..? Well, she's one of @/CoffeeSnake's OCs (aka IxurCafe on Twitter), one I've been wanting to draw in my style for a looooong time!!

I've had the linework roughly finished many months ago, but since I kept on postponing pieces, this one stood in its early stages a good while. And since I was actually really proud of my take on her design, I knew I needed to take it until the end ;7

My first approach was an inky comic book style, with bold lines, hatchings and cel-esque shading, and it was basically it for the armored lady as a whole and the stone she partially was standing on ^^

Now for the background, I chose to mimic Coffee's blocky style with the marker brush, and despite suffering a lot getting the transitions to look cohesive, it did pay back amazingly, and couldn't be prouder of my job as a style stealer lol :'] (I hope I did enough justice to your style, dude!)

Oh, and by the way, Coffee was one of my very first inspirations on DA! I first found him when I stumbled upon an outstanding fanart of Princess Peach, and I completely lost it when I saw it was done in MS Paint!

I was still learning a lot at the time, and felt really honored to get my many questions answered by the man himself when it came to his techniques and approaches with the software. It was actually thanks to his works that I felt like giving Paint another shot, while resurrecting my Wacom Intuos in the process!

So yeah, I owe him a huge thanks for giving me such a boost of motivation and inspiration to expand my digital horizons! :star:

Lastly, I wanted the lady to fit his world, so I thought it would be cool if she was a shapeshifter type of being, made of a quite goopy substance that could morph to anything, such as clothing, body parts and even camouflage itself to its surroundings.

I also like to think bird and rabbit-esque creatures are some of her spirit animals in that existential plane lol

Anyways, I hope you all and specially Coffee enjoy how this crazily convoluted piece turned out as much as I do!

It was a true adventure to work on it, and is now another extremely detailed MS Paint piece for my collection- :'P
