struggled so much with forrests outfit and will probably continue to work on it because its still not the best imo.

anyways they are both members of the band on board the violet sparrow (of course <33)
the two of them previously worked together and had an act together in a port town on a small planet. they would perform on street corners and in the city square, but often ended up being chased out from their locations by guards because they never got a permit to perform for money, which is what they were doing. one day, their escape from the guards landed them cornered, the only escape was the gangplank onto the violet sparrow, which was docked for a refuel. the two of them barged onto the ship just as it took off, and ended up bartering their place on the ship by showing off their performance skills
the two of them are more permanent members of the ship, and have been onboard for the past 5 years!
i think these two might be some of the more cowardly members of the ship, as neither really have any fighting skills that are good for anything other than a bar scuffle. therefore, whenever there is an emergency onship, these two are generally the first to be found inside of any of the ships panic rooms. that is not to say that they won’t help anyone else they come across however, if it’s someone they know isn’t prepared for combat, oftentimes they will end up dragging the person along with them.
the two are pretty inseparable, most of the crew thinks theres something wrong when one is seen without the other (not necessarily true lol, they still need time to themselves of course)
ALMOST FORGOR ABOUT COSMO OOPS ok so they found cosmo stranded in space in an escape pod alone, wearing a lil kitty space suit but the pod and suit were running low on oxygen. obviously they had to take him in, and now he is also a staple to their little group. most often he is perched on forrests shoulders, his collar is a little space suit that is meow activated (trained kitty :0 )
a lil bit of seperate info:
- forrest’s gloves help it with hand mobility in the knuckle joints
- ediths boots are magnetic, sometimes she likes to walk on the ceiling :)
- edith and forrest both use the same kind of hat as loretta to get their oxygen when on deck, though they aren’t on deck super often
- the two of them love their other bandmates on the ship, treat them like family (im not sure whether the other members got there before or after them, whatever mayday and flyingcheese think ^_^)
- the two of them often sneak into the kitchen for snack breaks. yvo hates this. gary is very accommodating sdjdj
- edith is very committed to their goth makeup. their lipstick is tattooed because she got tired of reapplying every day. not all of the crew members know this lol
- whenever edith makes a joke, she hardcore commits to it, often ending up involving forrest in elaborate schemes
- forrest for the above reason has become very good at creating props and false storefronts
- edith has a specific sense of humor that includes a lot of being sarcastic but stonefaced so no one can tell if shes serious or not. (she almost never is)
- forrest likes sewing in its free time, mends small tears when it can, mostly makes little things because it is more manageable for it. once wanted to be a seamstress
- cosmo loves everyone on the ship :) he will snuggle up with anyone nearby
- forrests fave color is purple
- ediths fave color is green
- the tattoos on the back of ediths hands are of an open eye
- forrest plays the trumpet :) kind of obvious but also i know i literally wrote the tumpet on there (its a joke from a post that i cannot remove from my mind)
- edith fucking loves solos <333 play your heart out bestie
- some days, when forrest can’t use his hands, it will sing along with the band :) oftentimes his hands will be painful, from an accident that messed up its hands
- addition to the above point, selma made him his gloves
