I love digital and traditional portraits, but I do love most of the stuff on here, no question.

I definitely follow people for their color choices and shape language. I don't mind the line art or lack of. I follow artists from realistic portrait artists to people whose styles remind me of children illustrators. It really depends on how it speaks to me and how it subconsciously and consciously inspires and motivates my art.
I've taken a look at your gallery and I don't think you're out of place here on Artfol. If you feel insecure due to a lack of exposure, try joining some Artfol challenges or DTIYS. That's a solid way of getting your stuff out there.

Oh but also your art already is awesome. And you’re definitely not out of place in any way. Everyone’s art is different, and your art is actually very aesthetically pleasing. Don’t even worry about changing your art to “fit in” because no one here fits in

I like visdev style art and enjoy seeing people's OCs but I don't think you should mold your art style to what other people want. Trying to fit into a mold is exhausting and long-term might be unsatisfying for you as an artist. I've tried it myself and it's just not fun for me.
I think you should look through lots of art everywhere (like Behance, Pinterest, here, deviantart, etc), look at the styles that you enjoy, figure out what attributes you like from the art and mix them together to make it your own thing. Develop your own aesthetic out of your own favorite things

I don't it's your art style. People love different ones bc they're interesting to look at. I think just fine tuning your work will make you feel in. Your icon for example is way too dark. I can't see it. It would look nicer and be more noticeable if the lighting was different. Does that make sense?

I follow people I either want to draw like, or people I think have potential, or who I have nice interactions with.

I think this may just be me and the person I've become but I tend to support a lot of pixel artists- we're a rare bunch here lemme tell you that but it's the community I joined and I want to keep supporting each other♡ Other than that, I also lean onto building/background/architecture art because of the person I've become
