Autism awareness month piece

I keep forgetting to post here so I'm just gonna copy paste the caption from Instagram and call it a day

I haven't been diagnosed with autism yet. My insurance decided to only pay for half of the testing but i got a really strong "maybe" after doing the tests I could do. I've shown signs of autism since i was a toddler. I had to take a speech class in elementary cuz i couldnt pronounced TH words right. I would watch Alice in wonderland for hours on end. I didn't know how to make friends so I would pick at the grass during recess or hide in the farthest part of the playground away from other kids. I think I only made it through those years because one person in middleschool decided "hey, that girl at the end of the lunch table reading by herself deserves a friend" I still have issues with autism and the depression and anxiety that came with all those years of fearing people would hate me if I bothered them and thinking I was too weird to have friends but autism is apart of me. It makes me who I am and I dont think I would change that
