Hold on let me yap rq I'm tweaking abt foodDoes anyone else have a problem with food smells?? It's actually going to kill me one day it's so freaking BAD like I love mamis cooking I do but I can't stand the smell and it's always when I'm taking a nap that she starts cooking and then it gets picked up through the vent and unloads the smell in my room so I have to put vicks under my nose, light a candle, turn my fan on high, open my door, spray my room in fabric freshener and make my mom open the laundry door so the smell leaves and it still gets through and I end up crying cause the smell is so frustrating and don't even get me started on if she's cooking with that nasty sausage she sometimes puts in the food then the smell is 10x worse and I ALWAYS smell when it's being cooked I haunts me fr and then I can't eat dinner that day cause I know she's cooking with that freaking sausage so I make garlic shells but the pasta isn't shells cause they stopped selling shells its like squiggly now and that's the wrong shape so I can't eat that either that shape just doesn't go with garlic sauce it's all wrong so I end up eating cereal and crying cause they stopped selling my favorite pasta shape
AND the other day she made my favorite pasta but used shells and shells don't go with Alfredo sauce it was the wrong shape it was so hard to eat I couldn't finish it all bless her the sauce was so good but sighOct 24, 2024

You wouldn’t happen to be autistic? XD i have like zero sense of smell so i can’t relate to that but wrong pasta shape is real. I can do almost any taste, but my texture tolerance is quite limited

•food smells get worse the further they travel through a house, by the time they reach my room it smells different and so much worse i can’t stand it it’s like someone cooked and it lingered in their clothes and now it won’t go away
actually speaking of that, my neighbors at our cafe cook food and also bake some stuff and their food smells transfer to their clothes AND their cookies. they cook well and all but it drives me insane having a cookie that taste like the meal they had yesterday

•Most food smells don't bother me. I can't be around the smell of beef liver; it turns my stomach. The strangest one is watermelon. It's not that it turns my stomach, but if I smell watermelon, I HAVE to get away from it. I don't know if you've ever been violently car sick, where your head pounds and it feels like the world is spinning and you get horribly nauseous. That's what that smell does to me. And things that are watermelon scented (gum, candy, air fresheners) do the same thing to me.
