I try match the name with a trait of there's and search up the meaning. For example ticho means silent and one of my ocs is mute

just type in "aesthetic names" or something, and you'll get a quite a few options. Personally, I like to Google names that fit my character background.

FantasyNameGenerators.com is a pretty good resource!! They have a VERY wide variety of names based on different locations and time frames in the real world, but they also have generators for various fictional species, animals, fandom ocs, names for places and locations in a fictional world, item and scenery descriptions/names, and they even have character description generators for if you want to make an OC but don't have an appearance in mind yet! They're not perfect by any means but I find them to be a great and reliable resource for inspiration, and even if I don't choose a name from there specifically usually it gives me enough ideas to eventually come up with one on my own! •When I’m really struggling for a name I usually pick one of the vibes or traits from the oc and search “names that mean [blank]”. Otherwise I usually have a name a name already or already have a few names in mind that I think might fit.

I like to use baby names sites or any sites with name lists, and then I write down the ones I think could fit that specific oc until I find something that sticks
