Ascension, part 1
"I feel dizzy again. The water is different here, I am certain. The creatures are strange. The plants are nothing like I've ever seen before. But the most frightening thing is the light that shines from above. It becomes stronger with every span I ascend. It warms my skin. It blinds my eyes. I feel light, too light. Lightheaded. They said, I'll never make it. They promised me death.But they are wrong. I'll go slower, but I won't stop."
