Yes, you can upload alternate versions of a single character to Artfight!
I follow several people who have AU versions of their OCs, as well as folks with OCs who have different forms or ages or whatever!

•You don’t have to have a lot of characters! My first year I had 3 and now I have 5 uploaded. (I have more actual Characters I just didn’t wanna share)

•As far as I know there isn't a feature directly for it but I saw people putting them as two separate characters and naming one ' character name AU' with linking each other in the descriptions or putting them side by side.
I also saw people just putting pictures of both versions onto the same character site and just writing in the description that one is a au.
So those two are the only options I'm aware of
