I'm curious about which web builder is the best for these things too, WIX seemed pretty nice when I was browsing around

Tapas is really good for publishing but they don’t have a lore tab. You can probably make a carrd for lore and then just link the external hosting site for the novel! Feel free to lmk if you wanna know more Abt either!

I've seen people creating their own free websites for writing with illustrations and multiple tabs with basic information, maps, etc.!

•I dont know about a tab for Lore and Basic Information but when I did novels I made a chapter zero that was filled with that kind of info, as for a good site I would say Tapas, Webnovel or Voyce Me
