The safest choice is to connect with locals in your area through friends or family who are interested and have them pay cash. That’s how I accidentally ended up getting a handful of commissions for some pendants before 
but if a person is actually serious they could go to art fairs and find more people that way or through shops like flea markets, antique, cafes, etc
