Warning: Long winded rant. Messy grammar I was just mind dumping.

This ai art discourse is so annoying i’m not sure why we keep arguing with these tech bros. They always do it in bad faith, never wanting to hear out the artist who actually make their program work. Also just not understanding how inspiration, creativity, and just creation in general works. They look at it through a very capitalist lens of productivity and a product and not as a skill to grow or hell something fun to do. Also the way they use disabled artist as an argument is just kind of nasty. They never cared about them until it could benefit them, but I guess that’s how most things go.

I could go on about this in so much detail but it doesn’t really matter. I think what does is that there are people who obviously want to have the joy of making art themselves of their own ideas or just being creative in general. But they are so scared of their art not being professional the first go around that they don’t even try. I get the fear I do. I think everyone can relate to the fear of our art not being good enough. But I wouldn’t still be doing this if it was just about making good art. I would have never returned when I quit art for a while if it wasn’t for just the feeling of making something from nothing and just the process and seeing that slow improvement.

While yes I feel like most are just clients who could care less and just want professional looking art. I feel like some have ideas they want to express but are too scared of not being perfect or being too old to start. It kinda makes me sad we could have all these new artist finding their medium and expressing themselves but they just don’t because hey some bot can just steal the work you like, instead of them taking inspo. Like man it feels like they are so close but just refuse to see it. Cuz like man if they try to draw something I feel like it will feel amazing once they start to see improvement and get an understanding.
