She comes in waves
This was the first digital piece I completed after a long time of inactivity. I tried to convey an atmosphere of loneliness in the midst of a great dark, the feeling of letting yourself be completely immersed in the sea and your hair scattered all around, uncontrollable. There's only a soft moonlight as a source of light around, hitting right on her head, maybe suggesting something dawning, coming from the girl's thoughts.This is also the first post in here for which I'm asking critiques, because even though I really like it, I can't help but feel that my technique is really rough, especially when it comes to handling water and light, or a color palette of a body in a dark setting. Any comments are welcome and I am okay with harsh opinions, as long as they're not unnecessarily hateful of course!Jan 5, 2021

I think you conveyed your message of loneliness very well, and I like the moon symbolism. Because you said "harsh" opinions are okay, I'm not going to sugar coat it but I DO think this is a very lovely piece and idea, I see a lot of potential in this work which is why my critique might come across as "harsh".
First, the colors in here kind of clash. On the girl's body you're using a grey blue tone with dark blue shading, however her hair has a grey blue tone that has a greener undertone. Meanwhile the ocean is a dark saturated blue. You're using three different blues which look nice on their own but don't work well together in a blue themed piece. I think the body and the ocean go well, however the hair seems really out of place. Uhhhh my teachers calling me back for class so I'll finish my critique later oof
