Comic background WIPAsking for advice on backgrounds/scenes in my comic! Is this clean enough? Should I make backgrounds more detailed? It's not colored yet but I use very limited palettes to make coloring easier for me.Aug 29, 2023

For backgrounds, the farther you look back, the less detail there should be. I suggest adding a bit more detail to the building in the front and the empty space closest to the foreground, but not too much that it takes away from what’s actually happening in the foreground (if your adding characters to the scene or something).
Also a tip for when you color this scene: color it first in grey scale then add the colors. This is so you can determine if the values in the foreground and background clash and make the scene confusing. This is for when you add in your characters, if there are any in this scene (idk if I explained this right but there are tutorials online that talk about this that can probably explain it better than me
