Okie let's gooooo.
✨First thing that catches my eye is the anatomy. They necks are too long. The bones and muscles on their necks are misplaced as well. The lines on the necks are supposed to be connected to the "gap" in the middle of their collar bones. And the collar bones' ends should be connected to the shoulders. The bones should be symmetrical as well. Also, they are never straight like that. The always have a curve. Also, unless they are using their muscles on their necks/moving etc. the lines on their necks mostly shouldn't be visible. Turn you head to one side and pretty much only then you will see those lines. (Tho not gonna lie, I do draw them even if they are not visible because they look kind of hot lol) So for anatomy, I highly recommend studying anatomy from really life people, studying their bones and muscles. There are many just-muscle models on the internet. Just make sure you are studying them from real life or realistic renders, images.
✨I would suggest you to make the girl's lips a lot more visible. They are very hard to see and it looks as if she doesn't have a mouth.
✨I find it weird that the lines are so sharp and nice but the eyes and eyelashes are blurred. Kind of takes the focus away from the eyes. The sharper things near softer things will attract more attention.
✨I suggest you to use darker value. I can see that you used blue as a shadow but since it is one value, it doesn't like like a skin. Colder values can definitely exist in shadows and I use that a lot but only one value will look unnatural and incomplete.
✨The light source is quite confusing. Looking at the girl, it is coming from her right but looking at the guy, it is coming from his left. But then looking at the highlights on their heads, there's definitely a light source on top of them. Maybe two in fact since the directions of the highlights are the same. Plus, there's no shadow on her collarbones either. An advice on shading, if you put a line of top of skin to show a feature (as in it is not there for stylistic purposes) there's got to be shadow/light even if you are using a simpler art style.
✨For composition, I don't see much wrong here. It is a bust drawing and they are posing so you don't expect an extreme composition and camera angle. But it does look kind of boring when it is two characters standing there. (I'm guilty of that as well by the way) So the girl seems full of energy while the boy is the opposite. Imagine if the girl was holding a phone to take a selfie, making piece sign or heart sign with one hand while the boy is facing away while looking at the phone. And the girl is holding the phone above their heads with a tilt. That could get you a more dynamic and interesting angle.
I hope I could help. 💓
I like this artstyle for the characters. ❤️ The eyes look soft and glossy. The necks are a little too long, but maybe that is just me.
wait I love that hair & skin also how you smudge the eyes??? Looks so nice!!
