PLEASE READ!!!I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about the lack of activity here and I think I have an idea. But it will need everyone’s help.
I’ve created an account to help bring a sense of community back. For now the name is @artclub . For it to work however I will need the majority of active users to follow this account. Here’s how it works:
1. Every time someone tags a reshare with @artclub in the title it will notify the account. If more than 1 person tags a reshare @artclub will reshare the artwork to all of its followers. This number may need to be raised if a lot of different reshare artworks are tagged in a day in order for it to not get too spammy. This will help new and old users reach more people without the need to be following everyone or constantly checking discovery.
2. The second thing that it will do is host art challenges using the new image poll feature. Every week or so people can enter their artwork. Followers of @artclub will vote and the winner will move on to the next round and be pitted against other artwork.
IMPORTANT: not all challenges will be judged by art technical skill. Some will be about creativity, color use, the story, things like that. I really do not want to make this a popularity contest.
