Laruze on the left, is a result of a human taking a scarce drug that alters your body. He takes on his appearance based on other peoples perception of himself, and gives him access to 100% of his Brain (like the movie Lucy).
Bongo is a dog that eats shoes (literally) as a main source of food as he eats things like leather and high quality fabrics. Eventually he becomes the pet of Shell-girl
Shell girl was born deaf and was raised by the sea-side townspeople. The vibrations caught in her shell ear pieces allows her to perceive sound essentially acting as hearing aids
