I’ve just been hearing that it should be used as a tool instead. I just wanted to know how cause I’ve seen No one actually explain it.Apr 14, 2023

The best use I can think of is... As an inspiration tool. Except... because these programs learn from a massive database of art, the ideas they come up with are... Derivative as hell. You look at what it comes up with and it's not that unique. Because it's been done thousands of times before. If you're good enough to match the AI preferred style, you can just come up with that stuff on your own.
But it could ACTUALLY be useful for something like in between frames in 2d animation. The most labour intensive, and thus costly, part of the process. It's always been outsourced to cheaper parts of the world. AI might actually be a good fit for this work (providing it's ethical etc etc).
