Now for the other portion of this mess, HAHAHA!As aforementioned, her navy and pink markings don't belong to her. As a result, home girl ended up dealing with tons of relatively life threatening issues.
From extra organs, limbs, and teratoma-like masses, down to under developed parts of her body, skin included. Thankfully, Mandabenan possess a natural trait that accelerates the manner in which their bodies adapt to certain things or heal over. Pups that are exposed to healthy parents will (over the course of their growth spurts and molts) be able to develop what's missing. It wasn't an easy childhood for Gab here because of that, but she made it!
She did have several surgical interventions, but since they were done to her when she was virtually a baby, it didn't affect her as hard as it should've a human child.
As aforementioned, her snoot shape (dish face) is not a naturally occurring thing among Yíhven, which does mean Louis shares a similar problem. Much like what happens to pugs and other dog breeds, there comes a point where breeding for specific traits and aesthetics might bring bodily issues. Louis' case was a forced trait that started in his family thanks to human commerce. However, it started with the same problem Gabbie has. Due to a small delay during cell divisions and multiplication in gestational stages, the nose bridge area suffers a bit of a crinkled effect. Kinda how if you press down on an area of a plastic bag and pull on the rest of it, you'll end up with a weird middle dent. Mandabenan development has a bizarre order too based around what areas of genetic maps is being followed. So unfortunately for Gabbie, that part of her skull forgot to stretch when everything else was still going. Thankfully, her teeth didn't get as fucked as Louis' because of that.
But it does affect her bite force significantly. Most Yíhven can deliver bite force of about 750 PSI. Not much stronger than a lion. However, Gabbie's stands at around 550, akin to a Mastiff's. The way her nose canals are shaped does not facilitate gripping. The moment she bites down, her nostrils are covered by the upward force that her lip causes. This also sandwiches her inner canal's tissue together, which is equal to what happens when you got sinuses or inflammation up your nose. It's not very favorable if you wanna be able to hold down anything that's squirming or trying to fight you back. It's not that she lacks the jaw strength as much as she simply can't force more of that power down without making cartilage on her nose wriggle uncomfortably.
That said, she does preserve native feral customs. She's no stranger to four legged locomotion and she's definitely familiar with Mandabenan not viewing clothes as necessary. But she only practices customs that aren't related to dress code.
Her parents died of old age, having bore her very late in their lives. However, that's not to say Mandabenan have an age for reproduction. For all 388 years total, a Mandabenan can mate and produce litters with no risks. The only problem will obviously be how long couples have to spend on raising young. Sometimes, something the natives call Môbrázen (or simply Mohbrah, which stands in as the word for "miracle") occurs which extends a Mandabenan's health for an indefinite amount of time. Granted, this relies on how well they take care of themselves. Her parents used their Mohbrah to live long enough through her young adulthood, which was enough to prepare her and give her a decent life.Mar 14, 2022
