I never join them and don’t find they work as no one actually goes to look at other people’s art. The only way I participait is checking out commenters accounts and leaving something nice to say since no one else does:/

•I join whenever I see one and I think I normally get a few more people interacting with my post and sometimes a follow

I’ve tried it a couple of times and it seems like if you aren’t one of the first people to comment you don’t get any interaction. But I appreciate the effort and I usually always try to participate.

•i try not to join ones hosted by people with less followers then me because i feel like im taking away spotlight or something.
i used to join them a lot, and i think artist supports were the host shares the art of people who comment works better than just saying “promote yourself in the comments” at least in my experience

•If I can get in early and be one of the first comments, I will. But once there's already a lot of comments then those posts become pretty useless.

•I join the ones that are just commenting since it’s no trouble, but I don’t remember gaining many followers from them, except occasional follow backs from people I find there first
