Vent post:

Man, one of the harsh things of aging is knowing that, no matter where you go, awful people will be everywhere. I can't stand my co-workers, since I know they don't see me as an equal, since I'm a secretary and neurodivergent.
While I don't have anything in common with them, so we hardly try to talk to each other, and I had nothing against them at first, it is frustrating that I'm just called out constantly and I get no positive feedback, ever. There are times when they are nice, but the moments they just call me out in negative stuff is certainly more. And while I have a low intelligence, is not low enough to not notice is with me as I'm the ONLY one who gets called out like this, because while they make mistakes too, they treat each other with respect, but when it comes to me I'm called out like a child and I can't do nothing about it because, here is when the intellectual barrier appears as I can't respond back.

While it is true I do make mistakes, I do notice that I'm only reminded of them, but never thanked when I do something correctly. They don't treat me as an equal as they (willfully) ignore me when I talk, Heck, there are days they are not even willing to say hello back in the morning when I salute them when I arrive.
They won't admit it, it is pretty clear because me being trans and neurodivergent plays a role. I'm the only non binary androgynous looking person in the place and the only nerdy introvert among 6 cis hetero neurotypical women.
We have nothing in common and while I no longer try to be friends with them, it doesn't justify them being jerks. I don't need to be friends with someone to give them minimum respect.
It is true that I don't deserve my Job, I'm not smart enough to be here, I'm way, way tired and I really want to quit, but the truth is I've been trying for 8 YEARS. There's nothing better, there's no job where I can earn as much as I do here. And I can't just simply quit as my cat with leukemia needs me to sustain him and my other cat is starting to develop the first symptoms of leukemia as well. And I'm already in debt. And even if I do find a somewhat decent job, I'm sure I'll find similar people, if not worse. If decades of being bullied everywhere until adulthood has thought to me, jerks are everywhere, no matter where I go. Things don't get better. There are no better jobs, there are no better people, I can only aspire to things not getting worse. Because something I also learned is that things hardly get better, but they can get worse at any time, whether you can control it or not. I feel just as miserable as I did when I was a kid thinking things would get better as an adult. They didn't.

Ugh rant over. Let's hope things don't get worse.

By the way: can't access to therapy since therapists tend to be transphobic and queerphobic where I live, also expensive. I can't report, because reporting does nothing, I helped reporting to someone else and nothing was done. I can't quit either.
