My digital sucks 😭Tried to do digital art, cause why not. Turns out I truly sucks at digital. The style I learnt from the digital painting course crashed with my artstlye. Can't draw digital to save my life. 🥲

Digital artists! Please give me tips on how to digital, cause I've tried to watch several tutorials and still failed. 😭😭
Some people told me to just do my usual traditional watercolor technique, but even so, I don't know what brush to use, how to use, or when to use layer style or something like that. 🥲

P.S. I'm...... Actually embarrassed to post this 🙈

I think you are off to a beautiful start. I like how you render hair and expressed light ☺️ As to sharing tips, I’ve learned to be liberal with the use of blending modes. Multiply for shadows and overlay for highlights or adding contrast, and many more others, have fun exploring. ☺️ It would also be interesting to change up the hues and saturations of your shadows/midtones with the tonal correction. As for the values, it helps me a lot to check them in greyscale to see if they’re too muted or dark as a whole. Your blending is well done already, I think emphasizing the shadows with darker values and adding textures with textured watercolour brushes would do the trick. Good luck on your digital art journey ❤️
I don't think your digital art sucks at all!! You just need to practice and try different things! When I started working digitally I often wasn't satisfied too, but I kept experimenting! There's also still room for a lot of improvement for me, but thanks to that it got better and you WILL improve too! Don't be discouraged and embarrassed. Every step will take you nearer to your goal 🌻 I don't know what drawing software you're using, but you could maybe try using a watercolor paper texture and maybe some water color brushes to get a look closer to your traditional style ^^
This is beautiful, actually!! As someone who grow up using pencil color, I understand the urge to blend colors in traditional way. I think lowering brush opacity will help you add colors (e.g. if you want to add purple gradient to blue base color, you can set it into 25% opacity). Round soft brush is fine tho!

Also it's absolutely okay to use only one layer. My fave artists who had used traditional media usually do that. And the biggest factor to digital watercolor style is texture, perhaps? Feel free to experiment
Wow!! Wonderfully done!
It’s not bad at all!! I think the thing that was most difficult for me using digital art is that texture is not created organically so you have to add it in manually. I think it can make art look a little flat. I went back to using markers since digital is so difficult 😆
