~okay bringing this here from my tumblr bc i cant stop thinking about it: sprite similarities/parallels in ace attorney are so important and they use them subtly but everywhere, not only to show good close relationships but also toxic and abusive ones (for example miles having mvk's bow down and even the finger pose in his younger design from aai), because even if you hate someone their presence still makes an impact on you, and yet the Gavin brothers dont share ANY sprite, not even a slightly similar one. It goes deeper than than even, Kristoph has his arms crossed all the damn time, including promotional art (which is already body language in character design 101) while Klavier never EVER does it. It not only shows their personality perfectly on it's own, but the contrast it creates between them is just. omg
like i see people joking about how they look identical but 'klavier is hot and kristoph is disgusting' and like guys is intentional!! its on purpose!! its first an amazing feat of character design (aa has awesome designs in general man i love it), and also in the bigger picture, a beautiful way of showing youre not who you come from, youre not your legacy, which is a core part of the franchise's themes!!!!! anyway im crying and sobbing this is a fucking lawyer gameNov 11, 2021
