Elements of Cadence- Wind"A River Enchanted" by Rebecca Ross is so underrated. The way the Folk are written in this book is so interesting. They ARE the objects they embody like a tree in the human world is a folk on the other side. When they move around, it messes with the world. The way the land is divided and how that impacts the magic system is so fascinating. The characters are fun to follow and come on, it's childhood frienemies to lovers/ marriage of convenience (for a different couple). I really enjoyed the sequel also. I can't decide which one I liked more. I suppose A River Enchanted had more iconic scenes but A Fire Endless also has some solid bangersOct 26, 2025
