Technically its called groove metal, pantera popularized it, it can be fohnd in nu metal, exhorder (idk how to spell it) im pretty sure actually created it, but yeah it exists

•Ok this is probably very speciffic but what i instantly thought from my mind doing no research was Prince? I mean,, he could probably do it all, and sometimes there were a few songs in which he really did mixed these two! What comes to my mind is probably either his songs "I'm Yours" or "Endorphine Machine" ^^

From what I've seen: the very first albums of rhcp are considered funk metal and not funk rock, but I'm gonna be honest, I've never listened to them bc people told me they absolutely suck (later albums are cool tho, although the band itself is problematic imo). Rage against machine are also considered funk metal, or at least google says so?? I didnt know but cool, I guess? I cant tell you which albums in particular because I dont listen to them extensively. Google also quotes Korn (problematic as well) and Limp Blizkit, among the ones I know. It also quotes a lot of other bands that I've never heard of
