Draw your character as part of a classic painting (no need to be a famous piece!)

Draw your character as part of a classic painting (no need to be a famous piece!)

EDIT: I'm on hiatus now, so I won't be checking my challenge for now, but please, don't let that discourage you, since the main goal of this is to have fun with your OCs ❤️ I've been feeling down lately (wow, what a shock, those wo have been following me for a while know this is not new) So, after being inspired by @kiremii 's lovely rendition of Gustave Klimt's painting "The kiss" (you should check it out, the art is amazing!) I felt inspired to turn this as a challenge. There's no prize, no winners, no deadline, just mere fun, but I think it's also a nice chance to appreciate classic art. Also as the title suggests as is a recommendation and not mandatory, it doesn't have to be a world wide known piece like Leonardo's Mona Lisa or Boticcelli's Venus, so you can pick artworks by artists most people don't know about as well as there tons of amazing talent that appeared through history that many don't know about, as an example the painting displayed here, "La viajera" by Camilo Mori, who is mostly known by Chileans with some degree of knowledge in Chilean art history only and is not a world known artist. As well, it doesn't have to be their most popular piece, just a work you like. Also, what would your character do in it? Would they be happy? Would they be annoyed? Do they even like art at all? Would they look out of place? Is all up to you! Rules: -Credit the original artist you based your entry on. - Keep it SFW, though non sexual nudity is more than welcome as long as it keeps the propper filters as stated by the rules of Artfol. -You can base your drawing on the same classical piece another artist is basing their own work on. For example, you can redraw the same Picasso painting, but you have to give your own touch with your own OCs. -It doesn't have to be just paintings, you can also redraw sculptures, collages, photography, classic illustrations or even frames from a classic movie. -It doesn't have to look exactly like the painting you are basing the drawing on, you can take general aspects of it without including all it's details. -No AI. Since I'm very busy, It will take me a while to check your content. doesn't mean I'm not looking, but I'm either taking care of my home or job. That would be it, hope you have fun. C:

scream - reinterpreteddid this a while back (end of last year ) when I was extremely depressed and using art as a medium to vent my emotions. I interpreted the picture from memory, got the angle of the bride wrong and the background is a little off kilt, but i did Worcesterise the land in the background its supposed to be Worcester cathedral and Malvern hills. (for those who struggle to pronounce Worcester - think wuss stir - and you now can say it correctly, and then wuss stir shire - tad da!!!!!)

The screamer is supposed to be me - I wear a lot of hats

Oh its oil pastel, done with some really crappy pastels my therapist gave me - they did not like behaving very well

Love it! ^^ Love how you captured Munch's escence in here, I recognized the inspiration immediately ^^ Art can be so helpful in times of emotional distress, in my case, art has saved my life more than once. Love your use of colors here as well!
munch actually drew this picture 7 times. I have actually seen 3 of the originals, in the munch museum in Oslo. I did get his first name wrong when I was telling my friend and said it was Herman - i thing I was merging him with Herman Munster - a 60s series very similar to the Adams family but Herman is Frankenstein
