I'm not sure if I exactly understand the question, but procreate stores the art in the app, and you can save files to your device or other by "sharing" which also means saving. I usually save it to the device then add it to my drop box or email it to myself and save it on another device (I use Procreate on a tablet which isn't mine).

•On my iPad it created a new file for procreate when I saved an artwork for the first time? If not I’d check your cloud maybe? I’m not really sure
