WOOOO OKAY i didn’t have my tablet last weekend because Stuff happened with it and i didn’t get to grind through the entry like i planned so- boom now it’s here ahah

[full film summary: teren has always had an innovative, curious spirit, and dreams of becoming part of the renowned contrivance, a team of scientists and scholars hoping to use their talents for various improvements, from discovering the inner workings of the world to saving the kingdom of cybelos from a seemingly inevitable war between the north and south. after an intense test, they get accepted in, only to learn they... aren’t part of the contrivance. they still have much to learn.

teren meets their mentor, kismet, with whom they study, before quickly realizing they aren’t quite like the other members of the contrivance. unlike most of the others, they come from the south, known to be economically lesser and more vulnerable, which has resulted in a sickness ravaging their region. they learn that the contrivance must transcend the border, and more so if they wish to stop the impending war by finding a cure for the sickness. when they fail to do so, things get tense, and teren and kismet find themselves with no choice but to fight for their lives.

[extra notes: there’s a subplot where teren realizes how fortunate they are to be able to extend their passion and gain a desire to help restabilize the cybelosian economy as a whole. which turns into a team effort with a north cybelosian scholar named seraphin, whom they befriend. there’s also an astronomy-related subplot where the stars end up being a symbol for peace in a time of chaos, but yknow- and just to connect all the events, it’s that war in which teren loses their arm, which is purposely not obvious from the poster.]
