Old Tokyo Mew Mew OC - Lis
Before I introduce this character, let me tell a short backstory:When I was in my early teens, there was this community I was a part of which was a fan of Tokyo Mew Mew and other animes, and there was this one fanfic, where the author's OC was a different colored version of Ichigo (Zoey), and was her twin sister.
There were all sorts of edits of this OC, and trailer videos made by the author, which was a hit among our community of young girls. It had its own website (run by the then 15 years old author) with chapters, edits, trailers, characters, quotes - and at some point everyone followed suit and had their own OCs based mostly on one of the characters.
That includes me.
This was my character (yes, also an Ichigo based one with a mix of Amu from Shugo Chara). Back then I was only editing the photos in photoshop, changing the colors of the eyes, hair, and clothes, and occasionally mashing up different photos for the outfits.
I was reminiscing those old days, and realised I now have the skills to make a sketch of the character (based on the edits I still have), and I was just excited to have it come alive. It's a silly little thing, considering it was over 10 years ago, but it made me feel the same way I used to at the time.
About her:
Her name is/was Lis (Lisa), with the DNA of a jaguar, and technically a carbon copy of Ichigo in her looks. As it was also part of a story, at some point she meant to find her heart's egg and become Lady Dia, thus having two forms she could transform into. She even had two love interests, Zero (Vampire Knight) and Kiba (Wolf's Rain).
Obviously I never did anything with this, but wow, did I have fun.Apr 24, 2024
