Any artists with experience in drawing landscapes/environments wanna give some tips to a newbie who wants to give it a try? :) I have practiced it a bit in the past but never anything I was happy with, so any advice is welcome!

I have been slowly getting into scenery and I understand the struggle xD having a few different references usually helps :'3 Like one for the specific type of lighting, one for certain foliage, one for if I want water/other specific elements in there, one for different colour schemes I like etc :3 if I'm sketching something more fantasy-esque, I pull up a simple colour palette and go from there! Also finding the right texture brushes is important

•I always find 1740462 references, and do thumbnails. Do a color/light test to see if the idea would even work, then try not to cry as I render away and do my best to not mess up the values.

•What I do first time..
Took me a few mouths to try drawing environments/landscapes...
Just find a picture and trace all the details of different parts of the pictures like rocks , mountains , trees ect. . . You can use basic shapes for drawing rocks or mountains.
For a few try’s you should get a hang of getting use to drawing them.
Try practicing different Parts by itself like trees or small details that go with the landscape like coral or flowers in grass. You can look up different types of environments to explore and try drawing and using that picture as a reference by the time you keep drawing, you’ll get use to it without references.. you’ll be able to try drawing them how you think they would look like.

•You won't see background in 99% of my stuff, but here's something: basic perspective. A simple 1-point perspective should be a great start (and quite enough, in most cases) for putting objects/characters/structures in place.
