Is Wings of Fire as a series worth getting into as an adult?
Like, I'm 28 years old and I barely dip my toes into YA as a genre. As far as I can tell, these books are aimed at a younger audience than ya??
But I see all these really gorgeous fanarts of the series. Like, some of the best damn dragon art at the moment seems tied to this fandom.
Not to mention 12 year old me would have been all over this series... If it didn't start being published as I was an adult

I want to know what all the fuss is, but I'm not sure the books will do anything for me considering Ive been reading "adult" fantasy since I was 16 (funnily enough, due to a lack of kids/ ya fantasy on offer at the time...). I worry it'll be too tropey or the writing style would turn me off for being too simple.Apr 20, 2021
