Da fam sleepy
This is the fam, the folks who all share Red's home closer to the end of Amidst Gods, this would be right before the last arc of the story, that's why Foggy isn't here cause he's caught up in some stuff and is missing, and why Nils (orange poncho) is here because she would've just moved in :) Honestly I'm so happy about this one you guys, the ramble for this one might get long so I'll apologize and thank you if you read it all in advance
Lil Seth (far left, he/she) would have been very upset all the time around this time of the story, I think I've talked about it before but his life sucked and she kept loosing everyone in her life, most recently at this point, Foggy and a pet of his. I made him look angry in his sleep because honestly at this point she was really angry at everything and lashing out, unable to process all the crap happening in her 7 year old brain, even in his dreams. Don't worry I promise things get a lot better for her, it just took a bit.
Next to Seth is Nils (any pronouns) is a doctor who recently had a messy separation with a partner and only moved in because Wilaby was having health issues that needed constant medical attention. They end up becoming part of the family as time passes, especially to Seth, befriending the kid really fast. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I'm posting about her, she's a more minor character
Wilaby (black and white hair, he/him) kind diverging here but I desperately gotta talk about my boy's scars, I realized recently most people don't even realize they're scars lol. Because of his monster origins his skin burns and turns dark and his hair turns black when it's soaked in water, the mark on his face and the split colored hair are from a time he was being terrorized by a group of humans when he was pretty young. The reason I bring this up is because one time in an attempt to keep a friend safe he ended up wading through a river and so now knees down is all burns, he walks a little weird because of it, and I've never really gotten to draw those burns until now and I really wanted to talk about them
Red (middle, she/her) is honestly starting to thrive in her identity around this time, for most of her life her identity was always was others needed or expected or forced upon her and only really around this time she's in a space that allows her to explore who she felt she was and really play around and experiment with it. Her life isn't exactly great with the stress of Wilaby's declining health and looking for Foggy, but at least she's got that going for her lol
Then lastly Blue (she/he) with his kiddo Wolfie :D Blue had lived alone for a while with Wolfie but had moved in to help watch Seth and help look for Foggy and keep up protections around the home. Also this is the first time I've drawn Wolfie, they're supposed to be a wolf spider hybrid and they've got big spider legs on their back that I covered up with the blanket because I was lazy lol. I love how they turned out with their stripes

I love how much storytelling is embedded in their scars - like, Wilaby's legs?? Please illustrate it at some point because the concept is so cool and angsty argh-

awww omg this is so cute!! i always love reading more about these guys… had no idea that those were scars on wilaby, but it makes sense and honestly i feel bad for him :( this is seriously adorable though, i’m glad they have each other
