My poor boy is so terrified of thunderstorms, he's going through so much every time and the last few days have been really rough on him. We have actually considered getting him a "thunder jacket" if that even works

Our cat was really afraid of them and fireworks too, closing all shutters keeping her on my lap petting her or letting her stay under my bed with me being in the room showing her my usual relaxed self seems to have helped over the last few years. Basically a 'this is a safe space' thing with not making big sudden noises and such. Maybe that’s helpful?
