Personal book cover

Normally I wouldn’t post one of my book covers, but seeing as there is a critique filter I became curious as to what an app full of other artists may have to say and advice they may give. I am self taught and still learning so advice is welcome. I have absolutely no idea what details I should or should not give so if I leave anything out or if you have a question please feel free to ask

This is a potential cover for a book I am working on. It’s gone through many drafts and this is, I think, the best thus far.

I know I probably over saturated the boy and messed up the contrast/shadows, but am not really sure how to fix it.

Font and font colors are temporary, but the swoosh underneath is here to stay.

I have a version of this with my name on it on my computer, this is just what I have on my phone and I’m still playing with fonts and font colors of the other version.

Yes, everything has its own layer for the most part so it can be more easily manipulated/changed

I created this using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro

I fluffed it the wolf’s fur, created a new eyes for it (were originally golden) and a new nose and tried to blend them together as seamlessly as possible. Also attempted to fix some pixelation in the wolf and faded the wolf a bit.

Changed the hue of the back ground from green to blue with some green undertones (I think)

Added more foliage and fog

Added moonlight

Changed the boy from a daylight setting to night, fluffed his hair and changed the hue to a more auburn tone. Added more shading/lighting and highlights. Attempted to fix some pixelation
