On CSP I use transparency and use my paint brush as a method of blending. This is my method but others do prefer actual blending brushes. I adore the ability to paint with transparent as a color it’s like erasing with any brush. I don’t like how in something like procreate you have to select that brush as your eraser it’s too much work.
