instagram is brutal with how followers just drop like flies when you’re inactive or you change your style ever so slightly

glad it’s dying lowkey lol

I hate the feeling of associating the value of my work with the number of likes each piece gets or the numbers of followers I have.
Yeah, not only people don't see my stuff, it doesn't show me the stuff of the people I follow, instead all I see are memes, suggestions and works of other people with more views and likes that I'm not following, which is very unfair for the people I do follow. If it wasn't because the stores in my country have accounts there and because my friends are there too, I would so deactivate it. The feedback I get there is so little that it can't be addictive 😑
I never really paid Insta much mind. I mostly just use it to store art. Guess I can’t speak for everyone because this is my main art platform
I used to have 300 likes per post. I did a drawtober in 2019 (still in the same theme as my account- just a different style) and since then I’ve only gotten around 35 likes. For some reason so many people hated it lmao. Like pls! It was only temporary! Come back!
Ikr. Also it's near impossible to reach people already following to see the posts. And they will continue to make it harder.
for real, and it's already hard enough to get new followers as is
I was on the brink of reinstalling insta but it's just not the same anymore
I didn't know it was low-key dying but my teacher told me to make an insta account for my art to help me find a placement so if it's dying I might be a little messed up lol
