At the moment I hate everything I draw. I've been working on a digital drawing for a week(?) now and I'm still not happy with it. And I'm afraid to draw something traditionally because I'm sure I would hate it too. Do you have any tips on how to stop it?

@drrabit , @disruptedlights , @sinntsuko , @lstzagathaart , @diasgith , @sunshineara5 Thank you all for your advices! (I'm answering to all of you at once because of the similarity of your comments) It's probably a good idea to take a break and to just focus on something different. I will try to find something else that keeps me busy and hopefully i will feel better about my art after that break.

When this happens to me I pivot to a different drawing or take a break from drawing and work on something else creative or even just chill and watch anime.
This is similar to what everyone else has said, but sometimes when we as artists look at something we can find all of the flaws. Its okay to just take a short break from the drawing and let your brain refresh

Ah, I know everyone has already said this, but perhaps a break will do you some good ^^
Personally, i also find that getting super focused on one drawing for too long doesn't work out well. Perhaps put that one drawing away for a day or two, come back to it with a clearer mind. Drawing is no use if causes you stress or makes you unhappy ^^

take a break! the more you push yourself to do something that is being overwhelming, the worst you will feel. If you want, take some old drawings and doodle it to see the progress, just for fun

i think you should take a break but only if you feel super burnt out! art is one of those things where practicing a ton is the easiest way to improve! you need to make stuff you hate before you can start to like it! just keep going!!

yeah I agree with drrabbit...maybe leave it a little, like for a week. Sometimes I leave for two weeks and I would crave to draw then everything's well...
