Preston and Dean met when Preston rescued Dean from some super mutants in the Capital Wasteland area. Dean happened to be a raider but with his debt to Preston, he was ready to betray his old gang. When they find themselves at his old raider camp, Dean turns Preston in as a trick much to Preston's chagrin. It ends in them fighting each other as well though Dean takes it as something of a game because let's be real, Preston isn't much of a fighter. Dean pins him and well if that ain't romance idk what is.I have a fic for this on my AO3 but I can't be bothered to find the link for it. If y'all wanna read it lmk and I'll share it.
