Special Gift is the Special ed class, but in a world where everyone has super powers.
Roman: A nonbinary character with ASD and OCD. They have the gift to see up to 200 meters of their surroundings, while their eyes glow pink. Unfortunately, using this ability is gradually damaging their eye sight. Roman wants to have the ability to be better than everyone without using any ability, so they have a strict routine. When they wake up they eat a healthy calculated breakfast, and pack a lunch, then they jog to school where they will arrive an hour early to use the gym, afterwards they pretend to pay attention in class while they study the subject a couple grades ahead, after school they take to studying at the library, from there they jog to their coaches gym to train acrobatics, then they hit the public library returning and checking out 2 books a day, afterwards they meet their father at home for a late dinner, then they read to let the dinner settle, once they finish the first book they run on their treadmill as they do the homework in their head, then they sit at their desk writing down the homework and reading their second book, before finally stretching and going to sleep.
Kiran: The comedian of his class, whom struggles with ADHD, GAD, RP, and FASD. His gift allows him to slow down his world perspective, making him move around super fast, while his eyes sparkle and his hair flickers like a flame. He struggles with controlling his power as it requires patience and harmony in oneself. He wears prescription sunglasses in class because he is sensitive to light, and uses sign language alongside verbal communication. His uncle, whom he lives with, taught him sign language for the days that Kiran has a harder time annunciating. His best friend Aris also knows sign language, allowing them to have full communication.
Aris: A punk rock, alternative, queer, rebellious girl with a hearing impairment and dyslexia. She has the gift to create or destroy objects using pressure, temperature, energy, and mass. She speaks in sign language alongside verbal communication similar to Kiran. She and her twin sister live with a host family. Her father sent the 2 to the country they reside for a better life after their mother passed away from the health conditions in their city. Aris is fully confident in themselves, though they keep their head shaved, because their hair grows in clear and people hold a prejudice against clear auras.
Ivory: A calm meditative supporting boy, who has IED, and had to go to plenty of therapy to even be allowed at the school, and plenty more to be a benched player on the hockey team. He has a heat field around him which can grow and heat up based on his emotions. He has spent a lot of practice subduing his emotions and always remaining in a neutral state. He has a love for ice hockey, and was finally allowed on the team, but spends most of the time on the bench due to the fear and prejudice that surround him. His entire aura is clear, and he has albinism to show for it, making the world treat him differently. He helps all of his friends with emotional regulation based on what he has learned, and hopes the best for each of them.
Rei: Her name is Japanese inspired for Spirit and Particle. She doesn't have a physical body instead she makes up the particles around her to appear as her idea of what she would look like as a 12 year old girl. She has control over the atoms around them, and if she understands the physical make up and has the appropriate atoms needed she can create stuff out of thin air. She spends a lot of time studying quantum physics, organic chemistry, and microbiology. Other than her vast knowledge in the sciences, she doesn't have very much common knowledge. Her home has a structure where infants are raised by wet nurses and the community is raised by masters. Her master Tamashi, has helped her hone her abilities, allowing her to make part of herself solid on occasion, and keep a stable image. Rei wants nothing more than to be a cheerleader, but she will have to work on her skills to remain a solid mass long enough for a performance.Jul 10, 2023
