Welcome to Artfol.
If you want a quick summary of how interactions work here, this is it:
1. There's no algorithm so everything is fueled by the human touch
2. If your art gets on the what's hot section and manages to stay there because people liked your art and commented, it'll be good exposure for you. But it's usually a matter of luck with people like me. I rarely get on there.
3. OCs are popular here so if you have any, feel free to share their lore with the community.
4. Text posts are really popular here. Answering questions is a great way to meet new people.
5. Most artists here say they prefer receiving comments over anything else, so if you want to spread some love and good cheer keep that in mind.
6. Do DTIYS and art challenges to meet new folks, especially if the host is sharing the entries.

Welcome to Artfol! I heard about what happened over on Buzzly, sorry about that! The Devs usually listen to us here & explicitly have condemned a lot of the stuff Buzzly isn’t in the TOS!
Here’s some tips to know about Artfol! There isn’t much of an algorithm here, so it makes a more level “playing field” for users! The best way to grow on here is to interact with other users through either complimenting art or through the Community Tab!
If you want a question to appear in the Questions Tab, add the hashtag “question” in the little hashtag section of the text post! If you have any questions on how anything works, you can always make a text post to ask OR check out the Help Center! There’s also a Dark Mode, in case you’re interested!
You can’t post art/images (this includes memes & meme type images too) that you didn’t make UNLESS you have permission from the OG artist to do so. I’m pointing this out because not that many people actually read through the TOS & get upset when their account got banned for breaking the TOS they failed to read. It helps prevent art thieves & reposters from taking the attention & credit from the real artists on here; & the Artfol community has strong words about art thieves & reposters!
