Wedding Dress
Era in a wedding dress.
~
This character was someone who was drifting through life, surviving but not really living ever since her dad died. She didn’t have a particular goal to motivate her, and due to feeling unwelcome in the capitol of the high elves, she felt like she couldn’t even return home to her mother, Luthien, and her brother, Ira.
It was common for her to end up in dangerous situations, and perhaps this was because of a near-complete disregard for her own life. She felt alone and she felt empty.
And so of course I’m overjoyed to see how she would have grown throughout the campaign. She would have met people to grow bonds with, would have finally let go of a guilt that she placed upon herself, and also would have finally understood what her dad meant whenever he talked to her about love. She would have found a home, and with it, a reason to want to keep living.
I genuinely struggled to picture Era smiling because of how distant she was as a character. For a long time, only her brother could make her smile. But now, she has another person dear to her heart whom she loves: Evie. He should feel very proud of his accomplishment of getting her to smile. So yeah, even if a lot of angst happened first, at least I have the comfort that they would have eventually ended up together. :3

Fun Fact: Their wedding rings are simplistic bands crafted out of evergreen wood, since Era sometimes called Evie “Evergreen” as a nickname.Apr 14, 2021
