I think that expensive art supplies are easier to use but if you are artistic enough you can use anything to create. I can do art with cheap markers but copics are easier to use so I prefer them. I do think that if you’re just starting out in a medium you should buy the cheapest thing and see if it’s actually something you want to work with.

•Skills is the thing that will definitely make the difference. But expensive stuff is cool and makes you feel more professional. I don’t care if it wasting money but I like my expensive art stuff ( I like my copics and W&N watercolours very much, even if I’m still a bad at traditional art)

•Honestly it fully depends on what it is and why you’re getting it. No amount of expensive art supplies is gonna make you the greatest artist in the world (since that doesn’t exist) but an expensive art supply can give you a lot less hassle haha. I think if you wanna upgrade your tools because you wanna invest in your skill (either for monetary or just personal gain/growth) then it’s worth it, If you think it’ll make you improve just by using the better supply then think deeper as to why you truly wanna get it.
Like no marker artist needs copies, but they’re refillable and also blend much easier than Crayola’s, but many artists have done amazing work with cheap markers too. It just saves the hassle sometimes. I upgraded to an iPad because I’m invested in my art and my old tablet was hassling the shit out of me lol but I could’ve still used it and been just as good C: (also looking at reviews as a whole is key cuz sometimes expensive really does not equal better)

•Not really talented but if you know how to use them, the cheap stuff could be even better than the expensive ones. Like a cheap color pencils like faber Castell classic could be even more better than the winsor newton promarkers skin set. But yes expensive stuff can help you more with the art but not making you good at it

•I think it’s useful when the technique is so specialized that you need an specific color, brush, or tool to make the technique work.
Surely it can help but artist shouldn’t rely in specific tools to make good art, art is what and how you think, art is not what you use.

•Depends on where it’s made and the quality of the material. Like for example toys, I would prefer a $20 Superman figure over a happy meal toy
