Disappointment
I'm sad and angry and disappointed all the timeI feel alone
I feel unsupported
I make decisions alone
I do dishes alone
I cook and eat alone
I sleep alone
I make art alone
I have new ideas alone
I dream alone
I'm disappointed
I cry alone
I run errands alone
I reach my goals alone
I wonder if strangers think I'm alone
Do they look at this girl walking alone and believe she lives alone?
Do they see her struggling with her bags of groceries and pity her?
Do they think she struggles everyday?
A man wakes up
In the late afternoon
To a full fridge
Pre-made ice cold tea
Clean dishes
And a women on a couch in his living room
She looks up from her work
And asks how he is
He screws up his face
Groans
Complains about his crappy sleep
His bad dreams
He grabs his vape for his first nicotine hit of the day
Takes his phone off the charger and
Goes back to bed
She's alone again
He comes back to speak loudly
About some awful thing that
Happened in the world today
He is slightly annoyed that people
Aren't as smart as he is
He pauses
Looks around
Asks the woman if she ran all those errands
