The Archangel GabrielI’m in the process of fixing up Gabriel’s Toyhouse profile, so I thought I’d try and do some “official” looking art for her, as well as finally write down some of her lore. Anyway, enjoy the pretty lady, and here’s and info dump about her below!
Among the 12 Archangels that make up the government of heaven’s lower circles, Gabriel serves as the Archangel of communication. She’s tasked with solving disputes between those who come to seek her help, and also is responsible for making sure that there is good communication between the 12 archangels.
Being the youngest of the 12, Gabriel has an enthusiasm for learning new things and making new friends. She’s extremely talkative, and can talk for hours about anything and everything. At times her extremely positive disposition and bubbly personality can come off as a bit irritating to those around her, and she tends to have an issue with invading personal space, but she’s very quick to correct herself if she ever feels like she’s done something to upset someone else. She yearns to prove herself to her superiors, and fears becoming a disappointment to those around her.
Fun facts:
Although she’s the Angel of communication, she’s terrible at anything that involves writing. Although she’s well versed in the art of conversation, she can’t for the life of her write down her thoughts in a way that’s clear and concise, and so she struggles with the part of her job that involves send letters, writing speeches, and filling out forms/ applications.
She is very passionate about her job. After all, being an Archangel is one of the greatest honours on can have in Heaven’s society, it’s almost like being royalty. Despite this, she does find many parts of her job tedious and boring. Oftentimes, she can be found skipping out on her duties and spending time relaxing at the beach, or dozed off under the shade of a tree.
Before there was Gabriel, the 12th Archangel was an angel named Azazel. However, many years ago, Azazel was removed from their position after being convicted of treason, and Gabriel was brought on as their replacement. Gabriel secretly is terrified of making the same mistakes as her predecessor, and is self conscious about people comparing her to them.
