my wacom intuos has been working hard since january 2017 i believe. it hasn’t failed me yet and i don’t see it failing me anytime soon

Dunno tbh. I've had mine for a while, but I stopped using it and just started drawing with me finger for convenience

I used my intuos 5 for 6 years, and it worked fine all those years. I only replaced it because I got more desk space to use. My first drawing tablet was a wacom graphire from like... 1999. I'm pretty sure it still works to this day (it was my dads, and he still owns it).
Not sure about modern wacoms tho, I tried upgrading to an intuos pro in 2019, and absolutely hated it. The nibs wore down so quickly, and it felt lower quality. Also not really used any other brands.
Honestly, kinda depends on how often you use it, and how well you take care of it. I'm very careful with my electronics, especially my tablets. They very rarely get moved around & never dropped.

It depends on the brand, how much you use it, how many times you dropped it, etc. etc. My 2012 Wacom Intuos 4 lived for 6 years until the USB port wouldn't register with the computer anymore.
