-sugar rush game could be Japanese/ have Japanese+ anime influence ( has partially sung in Japanese theme song). If true, this might count as another foreshadowing of king candy was not originally from the game.
-All the human sugar rush racers have a cutesy chibi anime like design to them. king candy is different. He has a more western cartoon inspired design. If you put all the racers together, he stands out the most art style wise

I'm pretty sure that the machine that houses the game itself lists Namco as the publisher, and Namco was a Japanese company.
