New Year’s Resolutions Challenge

This is a very open-ended challenge with no prompt for the subject matter itself - instead I’m challenging you to consider an aspect of your art you would like to improve in 2024. Personally I want to exaggerate my shapes more and improve my colours, but your goal could be anything, as vague or specific as you like. Maybe you want to find your style, figure out how to shorthand clothing folds, beat the same-face syndrome allegations, or just draw that blorbo from your shows more. Then, having set your goal, take your first baby step towards it and submit the results to this challenge! Whether that’s in the form of a fully rendered illustration or a page of sketches, whether you think you achieved your goal or not, it doesn’t matter! This is a no-pressure no-judgement space for trying your best. The point is that you’ve taken the first step towards improvement, and maybe throughout the year you’ll take another baby step, and maybe another, and by the end of the year you can look back and see how far you’ve come. Rules: - Art must be your own. No plagiarism, no AI. You can show your references though, just remember to credit! - Artistic nudity and mild gore is allowed, use filters if appropriate. - Submit as many entries as you like, and feel free to come back later in the year with your improvements :)
