this is my first dtiys! it's on my Instagram @chalcanthiite which is my preference for entries, but feel free to post on both. I'm just trying to get the word out so this challenge doesn't fail hahainfo is copied and pasted from my insta below!

this is my first dtiys, of characters from my favorite book series! the goal of this is to help spread the novel, and the author of the series herself has allowed me to offer a free e-book of the first book to the winner. information can be found below, i'm really hoping anyone can please share this, and join if you're able to, i don't want this to flop, heh.
RULES - Rules are pretty loose; you have to draw these two snakes (different interpretations welcome); descriptions of them can be found further down
- If you plan on joining, all you have to do is redraw this scene and/or change the poses to your likings; it's extremely flexible

- Any methods of art/styles are acceptable! (traditional, digital, painting, etc.)

DEADLINE There is not quite a deadline. I have no idea how this dtiys is going to go or how quickly entries will flow in, but i will clarify at least two weeks in advance. Expect anywhere a month to a few months to join!
CHARACTERS Sookahr - he is an eastern kingsnake with a crippled, scarred tail
Viirlahn - he is a green mamba with a silver and blue intricately-designed skymetal band
(images of both these kinds of snakes can be found easily with a google search)
PRIZES / WINNERS Winners will be selected on mostly dedication/effort, execution, and expression!
1ST PLACE: Free e-book copy of Disbanded by Frances Pauli + shaded half-body drawing of any character of their choice w/ background
2ND PLACE: Shaded half-body drawing of any character of their choice
3RD PLACE: Shaded bust/headshot drawing of any character of their choice
RUNNERS UP: Flat headshot drawing of any character of their choice
ALL PARTICIPANTS: Colored sketch of any character of their choice (this may be revoked or changed to only a sketch depending on how many participants join)
