Advent Calendar 2022 Day 15: Paper Flower Lessons

I started this nearly 2 weeks ago, so I was lucky to have a head start. Marimo loves making paper flowers and Tenori has always wanted to learn. With all his odd jobs and skills, this was one he was happy to learn from his girlfriend. I wanted a cute little mini comic of the two of them enjoying each other’s company. Its kinda her way of paying him back for teaching her how to be a dualie main.

For clarity, kinda read it from right to left, manga style. I used a swirling squid to illustrate her directions of twisting around, kinda like the loading screens for Splatoon 2 and 3. I also upgraded their hair styles to be inspired by some of the new Splat 3 hairstyles, though I originally sketched Marimo’s braid on the wrong side XDDec 16, 2022
